A Man For All Seasons

In these days of highly-paid football celebrities, Brian Owen isn’t a household name, yet over the course of the last six decades he has become the only man to have held four different positions; player, coach, scout and physiotherapist in all four divisions of the English Football League. This fascinating autobiography documents the fifty-five year career of a man whose face is well known at several professional clubs, and details Owen’s journey from promising young player to backroom legend. Owen’s infectious wit and wisdom means he has an unmatched store of anecdotes. He has seen it all, from the gritty surroundings of the lower divisions to the glamour of travelling with the senior England squad. After recording a lifetime of memories, Owen teams up with sportswriter Rob Hadgraft to tell his story in A Man for All Seasons. Containing fitting forewords by David Pleat and Phil Parkinson, this book pays tribute to one of the most popular, funniest and down-to-earth professionals ever to be involved with the beautiful game and is a must-read for football fans everywhere.

A Candy for All Seasons

When I was just a little girl, I began to hear about Jesus. I learned wonderful songs of how he walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. And how to Trust and Obey for there is no other way. And a little light that was 'mine' I was supposed to let it shine. As I began to grow up I had many questions in my heart. I loved Jesus there was no question of that. But I never really understood how He could walk with me and talk with me, or what it meant to truly trust and obey. And I was not sure at all about having a light that would shine. God used candy to help teach me the answers to many of these questions. He became real to me through the years of seeking Him, in how to share Him with others, so they could truly know Him and experience Him, without pretence. I invite you into the world of A Candy Ministry where candy becomes the focal point. (Candy is a non-threatening (focal point/subject) to begin sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others). Where candy is coded not coated so it melts in your heart not your hands. You will experience messages that will speak to the nature of the heart of the child inside of you, no matter your age. This touch, taste, and feel ministry is brought to you with the hope that you will have a better understanding of God and His love for you. I pray as you read this book that you will experience "life changes." We experience trials of many kinds and need support and encouragement as we go through them. Candy messages offer a new way to look at things based on God's word.

Food for All Seasons

A story of seasonal food throughout the year, this is a touching and informative culinary journey exploring the way our lives and our food are intertwined. It's a book of recipes, but more than that it's a book about food, and a book about an extraordinary chef whose career spans nearly two decades. Oliver Rowe has cooked at the highest level and in this book, he draws on his wealth of experience to bring seasonal food to life. Oliver trained at Moro and went on to open Konstam, and award winning restaurant in King's Cross. There he focussed on local, seasonal food and starred in BBC2's The Urban Chef which tracked his efforts to uncover suppliers in and around London. This book will not only help you understand food better, it will make you want to engage with the food seasons in a new way.

Game Laws for the Season 1923 24

"The twenty-fourth annual summary by the United States Department of Agriculture of federal and other game laws and regulations is here presented to aid in the administration of the migratory-bird treaty act and the Lacey legislation for the use of law-enforcement officials, sportsmen, conservationists, and others. It is published to the end that the laws for the protection of game and birds shall be properly observed. The dates here shown for open seasons on migratory birds are the result of Federal and State legislation, the Federal regulations operating in many cases to shorten the seasons fixed by State statute. It is only by observing these dates that hunters can avoid violating either Federal or Sate law. Provisions relating to methods of capture, game refuges enforcement of laws, disposition of fees and fines, and matters of minor importance are omitted. These may be found by reference to the laws themselves, pamphlet editions of which some are obtainable in most of the States from proper officials ... Provisions relating to seasons, licenses, limits, possession, sale, and export, and a few miscellaneous matters are set forth under State an d other governments, alphabetically arranged, thereby furnishing a brief convenient synopsis of the laws.'"-- p.[2]
