Much of “Married to the Enemy” is about the authors individual and couple journey. By sharing their personal enlightenment on how our culture and family impacts our attitude with the opposite sex, we learn how to go from devaluing each other to a more respectful and honoring relationship. Throughout the book, the authors ask questions for you to reflect on to see how you may have developed a gender filter that keeps you from creating the intimacy that you would like to have with your partner. Good relationships are reciprocal, so the authors also provide an inventory that looks at how healthy the reciprocity is in your relationship. Ultimately, by accepting yourself and your partner as you really are, not as the gender culture says you should be, you are guided towards loving authentically. In loving genuinely, you can now experience the rewards of a love-based relationship, not a power-based one. Meeting someone is a start; continuing a relationship with that person is progress; working together to create a positive and loving atmosphere is success. We come into this world with as much as half of our personality and inclinations present at birth. When we grow up with strong and excessive gender lines, these natural inclinations and personality tendencies tend to get blurred with what our interests should be and the type of personality we should have, whether it is true to our nature or not. For example: “I’m tough and can handle anything” image for a boy, and “I’m sexy, sweet, and submissive” image for a girl. These gender lines often leave us feeling like we are married to an opponent instead of a friend. Many couples may inadvertently begin playing a game of chess... looking to get the upper hand over the other. Imagine loving authentically, positively, and with acceptance. Imagine seeing the individual in front of you without the limitation of contrived gender expectations. How might you connect? What might you discover about your human commonality?

Maitland, Frederic William. The Constitutional History of England. A Course of Lectures Delivered. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1908. xxviii, 547 pp. Reprinted 2001 by The Lawbook Exchange, Ltd. LCCN 00-068895. ISBN 1-58477-148-8. Cloth. $95. * Although Maitland reportedly never desired these lectures to be published, they have long been regarded by scholars as among the best of introductions to the subject. They cover the period from 1066 to the end of the nineteenth century, but rather than a narrative historical format, focus on describing the work of the constitution during five distinct periods in English history (1307, 1509, 1625, 1702, 1887). The lectures were delivered in the winter of 1887 and spring of 1888, and provide an entry to some of the major concepts he later expounded on in his seminal work written with Sir Frederick Pollock, The History of English Law. This volume was compiled and edited two years after Maitland's death by one of his students, Herbert A.L. Fisher. Marke, A Catalogue of the Law Collection at New York University (1953) 367.

Number 1 bestselling author Philippa Gregory continues her series, The Cousins' War, with Jacquetta Woodville, mother of the White Queen 'I have lost my father in battle, my sister to Elizabeth Woodville's spy, my brother-in-law to Elizabeth Woodville's executioner, my nephew to her poisoner, and now my son to her curse...' The gripping and ultimately tragic story of Anne Neville and her sister Isabel, the daughters of the Earl of Warwick, the most powerful magnate in England through the Cousins' Wars. In the absence of a son and heir, he ruthlessly uses the two girls as pawns but they, in their own right, are thoughtful and powerful actors. Against the backdrop of the court of Edward IV and his beautiful queen, Elizabeth Woodville, Anne turns from a delightful child growing up in intimacy and friendship with the family of Richard Duke of York to become ever more fearful and desperate as her father's enemies turn against her, the net closes in and there is, in the end, simply nowhere she can turn, no one she can trust with her life. * 'Popular historical fiction at its finest, immaculately researched and superbly told' The Times * 'The contemporary mistress of historical crime' Kate Mosse * 'Gregory at her engrossing, exhilarating, enlightening best'' Good Housekeeping

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has shaped the consciousness of a generation, but never before has it been brought to life in such vivid and telling prose. Part Tim O’Brien and part Bernard Malamud, Avner Mandelman’s Talking to the Enemy ranges from boisterously entertaining tales of domestic squabbles to dark narratives from disillusioned soldiers. Awarded the Jewish Book Award when it was published in Canada and supplemented with recent stories, Talking to the Enemy is the powerful American debut of an international favorite. "Pity" draws the reader through the descending layers of horror of an Israeli soldier who is party to an assassination attempt gone terribly wrong. In "Terror" a man recalls a traumatic childhood incident that taught him family comes first—before justice, before fear. On a lighter note, "Mish-Mash" is a comical tornado set off when a winning lottery ticket is discovered in a less-than-conventional family, best described as "Sholem Aleichem writes Peyton Place on speed" (Montreal Gazette). Underneath their often brash exteriors Mandelman’s characters search for reconciliation and fulfillment in a land where conflict is a part of everyday life. Mandelman ensnares readers in intense plot-driven narratives that are pierced through with unexpected and ingenious twists. Beneath the surface of the often sparse prose lies evocative, unanswered questions about humanity. Every story delivers a thoroughly engrossing read with an unforgettable ending.

My Life Story is a powerful and inspiring message that will encourage, enrich any one in an abusive relationship seeking answers. Henrietta Trotter wrote Chapter 1-11 of her autobiography starting from the death of her mother at childbirth she says was Gods first intervention. He saved her twin and herself. It showed Gods Grace and Mercy when she sinned and fell short of His glory before she joined the Ministry. Her mothers name was Grace. Her story showed Gods Grace and Mercy before she accepted her calling. Divine Intervention is divine instructions interceding and organizing your life by allowing you to overcome your fears. Its resilient proof that Love dont Hate and Hate dont Love. Life can be difficult. There always seems to be some obstacle or misfortune trying to offset the good. However, in those times this book wants people not to despair, but to relish Gods love and strength, which this book reinforces. In this book Elder Trotter says, My primary goal is to be used by God. This book reveals her quest for justice; chapter after chapter relates how she was attacked in different areas, but she learned how to withstand the storm that came without warning; this contributes to her success as she never excepted defeat, Trotter says. Jobs secret was not his struggle; we all struggle. It was his endurance. This book introduces Gods power and favor in every line and between every page it reveals His Glory! It confirms the promises made to Abraham that the seed shall be blessed. Elder Trotter wrote. She started writing just weeks after her brutal attack on October 20, 1991, but when she came to herself years later the land of milk and honey unfolded. She added. Writing my life story was a healing process for my deliverance.
