From the back cover of the book... "For thousands of years, human consciousness has been mired in the muck of fear, confusion, and suffering. However, the patterns of the past no longer apply. At last, Mother Earth and all who reside upon her have set out on an unprecedented trajectory toward awakening. Each one of us can now choose to live in a new paradigm - the fourth dimension. We define the fourth dimension as a higher-vibrational state of being that is characterized by trust, empowerment, abundance, peace, balance, and harmony. It is based on the realization that we are beings of Light who carry formidable power as co-creators of our universe. Living in the fourth dimension requires a conscious shift from relying on the fear-based ego mind to trusting the heart-centered guidance of our Higher Selves. The Ascended Masters discuss how to let go of our history, how to heal anger, fear and pain, and how to develop a personal knowing of our Light. You, too, can take the next step toward creating 'Heaven on Earth.' This book tells you how." In addition to a channeled discourse from the Ascended Masters St. Germain and El Morya Khan this book contains reprints of the first ten issues of the Ascended Masters Newsletter published by the authors. Humanity has recently entered an extraordinary period of transition in which it is preparing to make a quantum, transformational leap to a higher level of consciousness and reality known as the Fifth Dimension--forever leaving behind all experiences of fear, conflict, pain, sorrow and duality. As veils of forgetfulness and dysfunctional patterns begin to dissolve in this Shift, we are at the dawn of an entirely new era on the planet: life lived from love, peace, cooperation, abundance, and reverence for all existence. AWAKENING TO THE FIFTH DIMENSION is an indispensable guide for this journey into uncharted new territory in consciousness, which may include unprecedented experiences of freedom, joy and expansion as well as significant challenges of disorientation and rapid change. We are invited here into conscious participation in an accelerated evolution as we ascend into the Fifth Dimension. In mapping the territory of this dimensional shift, it is also a call to co-create a New Earth that many of us have deeply longed for. Among its themes: • Common personal experiences during the Shift • Ways to navigate it with ease and grace • Understanding the Dimensions: Third, Fourth and the emerging Fifth • Physical, mental and emotional "Ascension symptoms" • Raising and sustaining your vibration: well-being, happiness, freedom • Stepping into a new multi-dimensional identity • Discovering your mission for assisting the planet through the Shift
Let us now look at these different aspects of "all that is," recalling that to be

The signs are everywhere: Economic crisis, dramatic hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and increased rates of species extinction. According to New Age metaphysician David Ian Cowan, we are in the midst of a 25-year transitional period of planetary shift as our solar system approaches the Galactic Photon Band, a shift that is also affecting our perception of time. The Mayans had a term for this transitional period: the “Time of No Time,” indicating that, post-2012, time as we know it or experience it may not exist at all or will have changed dramatically. In Navigating the Collapse of Time, Cowan synthesizes a broad range of perspectives about this time of transition, from the writings of the ancient Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas, to speculative theory, quantum physics, philosophy, and the nature of illusion and reality posed by a range of theorists and academics including Ken Carey, Barbara Hand Clow, William Gammill, Zecharia Sitchin, Carl Calleman, Gary Renard, Ken Wapnick, Brent Haskel, and many others. He also lets us know what to expect as events continue to unfold and how to navigate this time of change.

that would defeat the goal of parsimony. A dimension reduction technique, also

Navigating Global Business integrates and synthesizes all available country cluster studies into a nested meta-structure accompanied by eco-cultural correlates that distinguish amongst clusters. The broad range of analyses will appeal to researchers and practitioners, seasoned multi firm executives, those in small firms seeking internationalization, and anyone intrigued by the greater question of human diversity. The book covers key work-related cultural dimensions for much of the world, and includes examples of applications in most business areas. Also exhibited are the correlates of culture, some of which, such as language and religion, speak to the origin of cultural variations in addition to illustrating key variants of the global terrain. Finally, the authors examine how patterns might have changed over time, providing a rigorous and realistic assessment of the fruits of globalization.
Perhaps we might be better off, in the long run, if we didn't have so tight a grip on the reins of the ego-horses pulling our chariots. This book is about exploring the possibilities of what happens if we loosen our grip on those reins.
Grounded in the traditions of Torah and Veda, Steven J. Gold takes us on an oceanic tour of the depth and breadth of spiritual consciousness. Sharing personal stories and insights into various traditional scriptures as examples, he urges us to adopt a spiritual worldview, to "ponder infinity, awake and arise," to "find your inspiration and follow it." From the Introduction: Moving Beyond Ego to Spirit For our own spiritual benefit, what if we could move beyond our egoic limitations that restrict us from having a broader, more inspiring and awesome perspective on ourselves and our place in the cosmos? Admittedly, for the sake of survival and sane functioning within the world in which we find ourselves, it is important to have some sense of self. But perhaps it does not have to be as all-consuming as it sometimes becomes. Perhaps many of us become, at least at times, more self-centered, self-absorbed, self-obsessed than we need to be for our own good - and for the good of those around us. Perhaps we might be better off, in the long run, if we didn't have so tight a grip on the reins of the ego-horses pulling our chariots. This book is about exploring the possibilities of what happens if we loosen our grip on those reins. The chapters jump between microcosmic and macrocosmic perspectives, sometimes between chapters, sometimes within the same chapter. "Microcosmic" is a fancy word for what occurs on a small scale - in this context, on an individual basis, both within oneself, and how one interacts with circumstances and people one encounters. "Macrocosmic" is a word for what is perceived as occurring on a more massive scale, outside of oneself - in this context, on mythical, archetypal, cosmic levels. The microcosmic sections involve intimate accounts of my own personal spiritual processes, experiences and adventures - to share them in the hope that others may relate to, and be inspired by them for the benefit of their own personal spiritual growth. The macrocosmic sections involve discussions of stories and descriptions of levels of functioning that appear to be outside of the individual, not personal to you or me - to illustrate the inspiration I derive from this material, in the hope that others will likewise be so inspired. Such depictions have captivated me and many others over the centuries, because they resonate within, due to a spiritual principle that "what is within is without" and vice-versa.

Ideas alone are failing us! They promise growth, but too often lead to products and services that don't deliver. In many companies it can take up to 3,000 ideas to lead to 100 projects, resulting in only 2 launches, producing on average one product that breaks even and of these products only 20% turn a profit. Defining the opportunity first, leads to big ideas that win and increases the odds for success. Pam Henderson, former faculty at Carnegie Mellon University and author of You Can Kill an Idea, but You Can’t Kill An Opportunity! shows how to apply Opportunity ThinkingTM in your own organization to increase speed to market for products, eliminate idea bottlenecks, get crisp on demand space, value open innovation and increase creativity ROI. Opportunity ThinkingTM, a new approach to innovation developed by author Pam Henderson, has transformed the way companies and organizations, from Fortune 500 to non-profits, find big ideas that win and create sustainable growth. Opportunity ThinkingTM is a creative journey that taps six sources - market forces, business models, technology, organizations, environments, and design to discover big places to play. Not your average business book, Henderson’s clever narrative, bold visuals and countless stories of companies and brands will inspire you to think in new ways and stretch your mind to consider the possibilities.

Navigating Neoliberalism argues that neoliberalism, which drives government policy concerning First Nations in Canada, can also drive self-determination. And in a globalizing world, new opportunities for indigenous governance may transform socioeconomic well-being. Gabrielle Slowey studies the development of First Nations governance in health, education, economic development, and housing. Contrary to the popular belief that First Nations suffer in an age of state retrenchment, privatization, and decentralization, Slowey finds that the Mikisew First Nation has successfully exploited opportunities for greater autonomy and well-being that the current political and economic climate has presented.

The environment, and how humans affect it, is more of a concern now than ever. We are constantly told that halting climate change requires raising awareness, changing attitudes, and finally altering behaviors among the general public-and fast. New information, attitudes, and actions, it is conventionally assumed, will necessarily follow one from the other. But this approach ignores much of what is known about attitudes in general and environmental attitudes specifically-there is a huge gap between what we say and what we do. Solving environmental problems requires a scientific understanding of public attitudes. Like rocks in a swollen river, attitudes often lie beneath the surface-hard to see, and even harder to move or change. In Navigating Environmental Attitudes, Thomas Heberlein helps us read the water and negotiate its hidden obstacles, explaining what attitudes are, how they change and influence behavior. Rather than necessarily trying to change public attitudes, we need to design solutions and policies with them in mind. He illustrates these points by tracing the attitudes of the well-known environmentalist Aldo Leopold, while tying social psychology to real-world behaviors throughout the book. Bringing together theory and practice, Navigating Environmental Attitudes provides a realistic understanding of why and how attitudes matter when it comes to environmental problems; and how, by balancing natural with social science, we can step back from false assumptions and unproductive, frustrating programs to work toward fostering successful, effective environmental action. "With lively prose, inviting stories, and solid science, Heberlein pilots us deftly through the previously uncharted waters of environmental attitudes. It's a voyage anyone interested in environmental issues needs to take." -- Robert B. Cialdini, author of Influence: Science and Practice "Navigating Environmental Attitudes is a terrific book. Heberlein's authentic voice and the book's organization around stories keeps readers hooked. Wildlife biologists, natural resource managers, conservation biologists - and anyone else trying to solve environmental problems - will learn a lot about attitudes, behaviors, and norms; and the fallacy of the Cognitive Fix." -- Stephen Russell Carpenter, Stephen Alfred Forbes Professor of Zoology, University of Wisconsin-Madison "People who have spent their lives dealing with environmental issues from a broad range of perspectives consistently abide by erroneous assumption that all we need to do to solve environmental problems is to educate the public. I consider it to be the most dangerous of all assumptions in environmental management. In Navigating Environmental Attitudes, Tom Heberlein brings together expertise in social and biophysical sciences to do an important kind of 'science education'-educating eminent scientists about the realities of their interactions with the broader public." --the late Bill Freudenburg, Dehlsen Professor of Environment and Society, University of California, Santa Barbara

Navigating the social world requires sophisticated cognitive machinery that, although present quite early in crude forms, undergoes significant change across the lifespan. This book will be the first to report on evidence that has accumulated on an unprecedented scale, showing us what capacities for social cognition are present at birth and early in life, and how these capacities develop through learning in the first years of life. The volume will highlight what is known about the discoveries themselves but also what these discoveries imply about the nature of early social cognition and the methods that have allowed these discoveries — what is known concerning the phylogeny and ontogeny of social cognition. To capture the full depth and breadth of the exciting work that is blossoming on this topic in a manner that is accessible and engaging, the editors invited 70 leading researchers to develop a short report of their work that would be written for a broad audience. The purpose of this format was for each piece to focus on a single core message: are babies aware of what is right and wrong, why do children have the same implicit intergroup preferences that adults do, what does language do to the building of category knowledge, and so on. The unique format and accessible writing style will be appealing to graduate students and researchers in cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and social psychology.
