THE CHANGE IS HERE! There are two ways to live life, unconsciously (by default) or consciously as a creator (by awareness and choice). To date, a majority of humans have lived life unconsciously and thus find themselves in this state of affairs, where everything that is out of balance is crumbling. Every challenge is an opportunity waiting to be capitalized. This book is for those who have reached a point in life where their desire and curiosity to find balance and center in life has become an incessant question in their minds. Are you ready to transition from a regular life to living consciously? Vedanta is a philosophy taught by the Vedas, the most ancient scriptures of India. Its basic teaching is that our real nature is divine. God, the underlying reality, exists in every human being. “Ved” means sacred knowledge and “ant” means the end; Vedanta means the last of the sacred knowledge. The content of this book is mere information till it is read, The information will become knowledge once it is understood, The knowledge when practiced results in an experience (anu-bhav). Experience (anu-bhav) is the only way to unravel the mystery of this universe. The principles in this book when understood and practiced will help you overcome the external change by consciously managing your thoughts and emotions. It will help you connect with your creator, the grace that presides over this universe. The purpose of every human life is to rise to the challenge and in the process realise “WHO YOU ARE”. Fear and Creativity cannot co-exist, once the fear is gone all that exists is the Creator, his Creation and Creativity. Creativity emerges in conscious human beings. It’s time to connect to the silent power within and unleash your hidden potential. ONE-POINT CONTACT.

What is it about the history, geographical position and cultures of the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia that has made music such a potent and powerful agent? This volume presents the first direct look at the complex relationship between music and power across a range of musical genres and countries. Discourses of power in the region centre on some of the most contested social issues, most notably in relation to nationhood, gender and religion. Individual chapters examine the ways in which music serves as a forum for playing out issues of power, ideology, resistance and subversion. How does music become a space for promoting - or conversely, resisting or subverting - particular ideologies or positions of authority? How does it accrue symbolic power in ways that are very particular, perhaps unique? And how does music become a site of social control or, alternatively, a vehicle for agency and empowerment, at times overt and at others highly subtle? What is it about music that facilitates, and sometimes disrupts, the exercise and flows of power? Who controls such flows, how and for what purposes? In asking such questions in the context of countries such as Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Tunisia and Tajikistan, the book draws on a wide range of relevant theoretical and critical ideas, and many disciplines including ethnomusicology, anthropology, sociology, politics, Middle Eastern studies, globalization studies, gender studies and cultural and media studies. The countries and areas explored share a great deal in historical and cultural terms, including a legacy of colonial and neo-colonial encounters and predominantly Judeo-Muslim religious traditions. It is hoped that the volume will contribute ultimately to a richer understanding of the role that music plays in these societies.

The 1970s were a period of dramatic change in relations between Japan and the People's Republic of China (PRC). The two countries established diplomatic relations for the first time, forged close economic ties and reached political agreements that still guide and constrain relations today. This book delivers a history of this foundational period in Sino-Japanese relations. It presents an up-to-date diplomatic history of the relationship but also goes beyond this to argue that Japan's relations with China must be understood in the context of a larger “China problem” that was inseparable from a domestic contest to define Japanese national identity. The China Problem in Postwar Japan challenges some common assertions or assumptions about the role of Japanese national identity in postwar Sino-Japanese relations, showing how the history of Japanese relations with China in the 1970s is shaped by the strength of Japanese national identity, not its weakness.
