"By returning to the methodology of the early Church, Fr John Behr, a renowned patristics scholar, invites readers to approach the mystery of Christ in the same way that the first disciples of Jesus Christ learned theology. His vision of Christian theology, written in a systematic manner, offers a way out of the problems that have beset theology and scriptural study in recent centuries."--BOOK JACKET.

This book covers the blood of Jesus Christ from the very beginning of creation. It shows that the entire Bible is about Jesus Christ and his blood that purchased man's redemption. The reader will not only be introduced to important aspects of the significance of His blood but also to the significance of the very lineage from which He came. The summation of these facts is that contrary to how it may often seem, there is still Power in the Blood of Jesus. Reverend Rudolph K. Roberts has dedicated his life to the work of the Lord. With more than three decades of preaching and singing and with five recorded musical CD's to his credit, Pastor Roberts has traded his initial talents well to now possess a stockpile of spiritual weapons...ready to destroy the enemy's kingdom. He is married to Enid Diane Roberts for over twenty-six years. They are blessed with six lovely children Rudeco, Zonovia, Rhema, Rumah, Reuel, Rudiel and one grand son, Kaden. A former schoolteacher, track athlete and coach, this motivator has continued to expand his borders in all facets of his life. A reward of such pursuits is his Doctorate Degree in Theology, which he earned at United Christian International Bible Institute in Cleveland, Tennessee. Rev. Roberts currently pastors the Whole Man Christian Center, and has been doing so for the past nineteen years. He is also the founder and President of the Rev. Rudolph K. Roberts International Faith Ministries.

For hundreds of years, we thought we knew what happened during Jesus' last days. Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday are not only observed by Christians around the world, but are also recognized in calendars and by non-practitioners as commemorating the true timeline of events in the life of Christ. But apparent inconsistencies in the gospel accounts of Jesus' final week have puzzled Bible scholars for centuries. In The Mystery of the Last Supper, Colin Humphreys uses science to reveal the truth about Jesus' final days. Reconciling conflicting Gospel accounts and scientific evidence, Humphreys reveals the exact date of the Last Supper in a definitive new timeline of Holy Week.

The Christian Gospels give two widely differing genealogies for Jesus, which have baffled theologians throughout the centuries. Not only are these genealogies irreconcilable, but the stories of the two accounts of the birth of Jesus, as given by Matthew and Luke, are also radically different. How can this be accounted for? An ancient tradition tells that there were two children named Jesus, a year apart in age and both born to parents named Mary and Joseph. These two children, brought up in close proximity, eventually "united" in a mysterious way, resulting in a single "Jesus" destined to grow up and fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament. In grappling with this mystery, Nesfield-Cookson uses all available sources--biblical accounts, Christian apocryphal writings, Aramaic and Hebrew documents discovered in the Qumran caves in the twentieth century (the "Dead Sea Scrolls"), writings by Syrian theologians of the thirteenth century, and, in particular, statements by Rudolf Steiner, the first modern thinker--to speak of the existence of two Jesus children. The author also refers to the many works of art--largely by Italian artists of the Renaissance period--which appear to depict two Jesus children. Fifteen of these paintings are reproduced as beautiful, full-color plates. The author also develops a parallel theme regarding the mystery of Christ and Jesus--the gradual descent of Christ (the Spirit of the Sun) from the spiritual world into the physical body of Jesus.

The rosary is a treasured tradition of the church, "a marvelous prayer" in the words of Pope John Paul II. In his Letter on the Rosary, the Holy Father urged a revival of this time-honored method of Christian contemplation and introduced a new set of mysteries, the Mysteries of Light. He also suggested "the proclamation of related biblical passages" as an accompaniment to each mystery as a way of allowing God to speak to us as we pray. The Mysteries of Christ: A Scriptural Rosary features pertinent Scripture verses from both the Old and New Testament for each Our Father and Hail Mary for all twenty mysteries of the rosary. Also included: Colorful artwork by Flemish Renaissance painter Simon Bening illustrating each of the twenty mysteries; Excerpts of Pope John Paul II's Letter on the Rosary; An article explaining how the rosary engages both our minds and bodies in prayer.
