This supernatural thriller takes a lighthearted look at the heavy-handed in the spiritual world. It is the true story of one woman’s courage and determination to overcome supernatural targeted oppression and suppression against all odds. Seemingly alone and defenseless, divine intervention would reveal itself time and time again to turn the tide in her favor to insure not only her survival, but her thrival. This is a trip to the inner heart and soul, in order to survive the external forces that were determined to force fear, destruction, carnage, and chaos. It is a feminine perspective and survivor’s guide when you find yourself confronted with the dark side of the supernatural, intended to lighten the load of a burden she carried for twelve years. The battles were supernatural, the fight with the unseen forces was never fair or provoked, and came out of the blue and at random. The choices of others and the universal laws of attraction had unleashed a war zone in her personal life after the events of 9/11, and she had to discover for herself how to cleanse, clean, and clear it out of her life. This is a journey of discovery of the self. We heal, we reveal, we recover to assist others who struggle with dark days and deeds.

Service activities are the sleeping giant of the transatlantic economy. If awakened and unbound, they would further deepen the commercial stakes between the United States and Europe and enhance global competitiveness on both sides of the Atlantic. Today, services account for the largest share of gross domestic product in virtually all of the nations that comprise the transatlantic economy. The service economies of the United States and Europe have never been as intertwined as they are today, notably in such activities as financial services, telecommunications, utilities, insurance, advertising, computer services, and other related functions. Europe is the most important market in the world for U.S. global sales of services; the United States is Europe's most important market for services as well. Yet the full potential of the transatlantic service economy remains hampered by internal barriers, regulation, and obstacles in the U.S. and in Europe. This volume explores the prospects and challenges associated with opening the transatlantic service economy. European and American authors examine the state of the U.S. and European service economies; offer case studies in key sectors such as health services, financial services, and telecommunications; and highlight the opportunities for the United States, Europe, and the rest of the world.

"Confronting the truths of Canada's Indian Residential School system has been likened to waking a sleeping giant. In this book, David B. MacDonald uses genocide as an analytical tool to better understand Canada's past and present relationships between settlers and Indigenous peoples. Starting with a discussion of how genocide is defined in domestic and international law, the book applies the concept to the forced transfer of Indigenous children to residential schools and the "Sixties Scoop," in which Indigenous children were taken from their communities and placed in foster homes or adopted. Based on archival research and extensive interviews with residential school Survivors, officials at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and others, The Sleeping Giant Awakens offers a unique and timely perspective on the prospects for conciliation after genocide, exploring how moving forward together is difficult in a context where many settlers know little of the residential schools and the ongoing legacies of colonization, and need to have a better conception of Indigenous rights. It offers a detailed analysis of how the TRC approached genocide in its deliberations and in the Final Report. Crucially, MacDonald engages critics who argue that the term genocide impedes understanding of the IRS system and imperils prospects for conciliation. By contrast, this book sees genocide recognition as an important basis for meaningful discussions of how to engage Indigenous-settler relations in respectful and proactive ways."--

Wake the Sleeping Giant uses anecdotes to show why students "turn off" in the school system, who is responsible for turning the students off and methods with which to inspire the students to turn back on. Most of the difficulties which face children today do not originate in the home. They arise out of "The Sleeping Giant"-our educational system. This manuscript is written for parents and teachers. It not only criticizes, it gives solutions. While the solutions provided in this book cost little financially, they challenge the teachers, education administrators and parents to change their whole approach to the child. One section of the book details the methods I have used to take eighth grade basic math classes from a third grade level to pre-algebra in less than three months. Another explains an educational game called "Challenge" which I developed to encourage students to read for important facts, develop questions, learn to find the answers for themselves, and peer teach. The game is fun and can be used in conjunction with any text book. As can be seen nightly on local and national newscasts, our children are in crises. Parents, politicians and educators are desperate to find ways to motivate children to read, write and do math. I believe that Wake the Sleeping Giant helps us come closer to that ideal. A sequel is being written at this time.
